Construction activities caused backslopes to encroach an existing 12” main water line causing it to slip into a vertical grade transition which then halted the project. As part of INDOT emergency improvements, Grout Systems was contracted to install a 12-foot-tall Shotcrete and Soil Nail wall approximately 600 feet in length for a total of 7,200 square feet. After GSI was initially contacted, the Earth Retention System was selected, designed and installed all within approximately 2 weeks. GSI stabilized the moving slope successfully protecting the water line allowing for the completion of improvements.
